Coimbatore: The District Collector, K Rajamani announced that all Village Panchayats will conduct their Grama Sabha Meeting on October 2, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi, at 11 am.
A press release from the District Collector stated that "Prohibition on the use and production of one-time usable plastic items, provision of Rainwater Harvesting System for all residential, commercial and industrial buildings in rural areas, in order to save rainwater during Northwest monsoon rains, adequate health measures to prevent mosquito breeding and diseases caused by them, awareness on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Water Resources and Development Board, Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, other development plans taking place in Panchayats, Village Panchayat administration and public finance expenditure, Nutrition Movement, People's Planning Movement, Healthy Tamil Nadu, Pioneer Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister's Housing Scheme, Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Movement, Interest Grant, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevanjodi Bimayojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Amma two-wheeler scheme and other schemes will be discussed in the Grama Sabha meeting."
The District Collector urged all public members in Village Panchayat areas to attend the Grama Sabha meeting to be benefited.
